Scheduling Runs

Once you have a hometurf, you can schedule runs for others to join. This is where you turn your route into a shared experience.

Scheduling a Single Run

From your Hosting dashboard:

  1. Find your hometurf in the list
  2. Click Schedule Run
  3. Pick your date and time
  4. Set participant limits (optional)
  5. Confirm and you're done

Recurring Schedules

For regular runs, set up a recurring schedule instead of creating each run manually.

Available Patterns

  • Weekly — Same day each week (e.g., every Tuesday at 7am)
  • Bi-weekly — Every other week
  • Monthly — Once a month on the same day

When creating a recurring schedule, you'll also set an end date — how far into the future to create runs.

Example:
"Weekly on Saturdays at 9am, until March 31st" creates runs for every Saturday between now and that date.

Conflict Detection

The system automatically checks for conflicts when you schedule:

  • Hosting conflicts — You're already hosting another run at that time
  • Joining conflicts — You've joined someone else's run at that time

If there's a conflict, you'll see a warning. You can still proceed if you want, but it's something to be aware of.

Editing a Run

Already scheduled but need to change something?

  1. Open your run from the Hosting dashboard or My Schedule
  2. Click Edit
  3. Update the details
  4. Save

Note: Participants will receive notifications about significant changes (time, date, cancellation).

Canceling Runs

Things happen. If you need to cancel:

  1. Open the run
  2. Click Cancel (or the ✕ button)
  3. Confirm

All confirmed participants will be notified automatically.

No Participants?

If no one has joined yet, you'll see a Delete option instead of Cancel — this simply removes the run without sending notifications.

Calendar Export

Want your scheduled runs in your calendar app? Each run has a Download to Calendar button (📅) that creates an ICS file you can import.
